X1 THE RINGS OF DEATH
Steve Winter, first hired at TSR in 1981 to work on a wide variety of products from Basic D&D to Top Secret and Star Frontiers, has just turned in his exciting adventure for THE SECRET FIRE, a scenario for character levels 5 to 7 entitled X1 THE RINGS OF DEATH*. Set in the dark and dangerous western Borderlands, the scenario takes the party deep beneath an ancient and corrupted ring of standing stones into a bewildering complex of unnatural caverns. Great treasures — long-lost troves of gold, gems, and jewelry, as well as powerful, and some say dangerous, talismans — lie within waiting to be taken by the brave or the foolhardy. But can any expedition hope to escape this subterranean hell…?
